can help me? i don't understand well english... can i install windows 7 pro in a laptop and after upgrade within 16 january and keep lifetime license? thanks many
Nobody knows if msft's announcement that the "establishing a free HWID period" ends on jan. 16. 2018 really is the end of it or just an announcement like they did when it first should have ended. We'll have to test on the 17.
Can someone explain in detail what exactly is annoying about the upgrade process, what issues you could face and how long it takes in comparison to this method. Im thinking about upgrading to w10 pro from w7 ultimate sp1 with daz loader (because of the meltdown thingy apparently being worse for w7 users), but im not sure if I should use this method or just upgrade from the assistive technology page. Thanks in advance
All depends on what you want, if you have a running win 7/8.1 and you want to keep as much apps and data as possible it maybe is better/faster to upgrade, if you don't care about the data and apps (or have copies of them) you can go this route. If you only want to establish the hwid and install 7 quickly, it can be better/faster to go the genuineticket.xml route. If you're on a KMS activated win 8.1 Core/Pro/Pro-WMC you have to do a real upgrade anyway (using the 10586 aka 1511 iso). Or what @Yen said at the OP:
I'm forgot the utc time different from mine well, I want try because this cortana searh is white color..use time light, ofc if with dark theme there will not show
still work after I tried about 00:10 AM 17th redmon time using ticket and now in 2:33 AM idk still work or not
Will run a test tomorrow, just to be sure it should have been disabled by that time. But from what i read it probably won't be disabled because the MSDM activation probably uses the same server/method.
Hello, In VMware, i just tested an upgrade W7 Ultimate (Daz activated) to W10 Pro. The brand new VM has now W10 ACTIVATED ! So... this still works.
