Hello everyone!! Today I am facing problem in getting digital entitlement activation. I faced problems in installing windows 7 sp1 x64 in my acer laptop it was stuck at the starting windows animation screen. I installed windows 7 in virtual box and generated the genuine ticket.xml file. I installed th windows 10 v1709 and pasted it in the correct directory( I have succeded many times before on other PCs) But this was not working and I searched for other alternative and I found MDL members' discussion about using Windows 8.1 kms edition to get the HWID. I have attempted that too but still facing some issues . Is there anyone who succeded with the windows 8.1 kms method??
So that means I have to provide an internet connection after upgrading to the lastet build installation?
You only have to do what is above the ---------------------------------- line. No mentioning of generating a genuineticket there.
As long as you have the drivers installed (will be a hassle to you achieve it, if they exist), it should work.
Just for some info folk might find interesting. I have just bought an Asus TUF Z270 with a temp CPU of a Celeron G3930, Kaby Lake. This does not support windows 7 out of the box but Asus does have Windows 7 drivers available from their website. Also an "Asus Windows 7 Install Tool" This adds the necessary files to allow Windows 7 to install. I have tested this and it is very easy to use. Load a USB drive with Windows 7, run the tool and in hardly no time at all the USB is ready. This then installed Windows 7 onto my kaby Lake system. I then used the Asus install disc which came with my board. Well I actually made a .iso image to my PC then extracted that so i could add the files to a USB drive. This added ALL the drivers so my system was fully functional. But my board did not hold any SLIC info. So a quick BIOS mod later my board does now hold SLIC info and Windows 7 was "Genuine". Using the method to generate a Windows 10 "Genuine Ticket" i now have a fully activated by digital licence Windows 10. As for 8th gen boards and chips. I looked on the Asus site and chose the "ROG Maximus X Hero" This is a Z370 LAG 1151 which only suports 8th gen CPU, i.e i7-8700K. Looking at the drivers and tools they do have drivers for Windows 7 and they also have the "Asus EZ Windows 7 Installer" So I am guessing this tool will work on the newer boards as it did for my Z270. Just thought this info might help folk out.
