Hi sorry for my ignorance but for the life of me I cannot figure out which Iso to use to upgrade my legal copy of windows 8 enterprise x64 to 8.1 x64 enterprise. After reading everywhere online I think I need the msdn version to upgrade and keeps my files and applications. I got my Enterprise copy from my school with the key but they still don't have the 8.1 iso up. So if someone here could please give me a direct link to an iso of the msdn version I will really appreciate it. Thanks !
Since you can only activate Enterprise with volume licensing, you have to use an ISO file to upgrade. Windows Store upgrades are for retail/oem only.
One question that I have. Good morning everyone. I have a question that is generating me problems ... If active Windows 8 with a MAK key, as I can actulizarme to Windows 8.1, without having to re-activate my Windows? Thank you very much.
I don't know exactly how the volume licensing works for Win8, but I'm pretty sure that you can just get new keys from the website. I think it was just MS's way of limiting leaked VolumeMAK keys from activating newer 8.1 systems.
That's pretty much the way it works. When you go to download the Enterprise 8.1 ISO from the volume licensing website the new MAK key is waiting for you.
Thanks, downloaded "en_windows_8_1_enterprise_x64_dvd_2971902.iso". From what i read i should be able to activate it. Will report back as soon as i attempt.
