How to upgrade Vista Basic to Vista Ultimate with Lenovo T500?

    Thank you. I have not bought the T500 yet. Can anyone with a Lenovo T500 with Vista confirm that it comes with a cert?

    So am I correct in thinking that if I did a fresh install on my oem Toshiba laptop that is not Slic modified, I can use the cert I got from using this tool and a relevant key and run the 2 slmgr commands and it will be activated?
    I always thought this method was for slic modified bios computers only?

    It is for computers with factory activated Vista with cert/slic.

    If the computer comes with vista basic, it may have a slic. If the cert is present, the tool will extract it.

    If you have a toshiba that was shipped with vista, the slic is in the bios already. The SLIC is not a hack tool, it is an oem code we are putting where it wasn't.

    If you have home premium from Toshiba, you can install ultimate and use a toshiba cert and a serial for ultimate, and it will activate

    i installing Vista home premium (32bit) on D disk now .okey?...so we going to see slic and cert ? okey.The home premium is my original OEM..it came with my laptop when i was bought it...okey?
