SO...I have just installed a copy of Lenovo OEM x86 Windows 7 Ultimate on my old trusty R50e laptop [1.6GHz Centrino & 2GB ram ; and it's never going to be doing anything anywhere near intensive, so I think it'll cope OK. I used the ubiquitous 48-in-one x64/x86 oem dvd for the install. Of course now Windows has come up asking to be activated....I have never used a "workaround" before; have always had a genuine key...but this laptop I am setting up for Autistic Grandson to use....mainly for watching dvds but also some web browsing. Because the R50e is such a sturdy beast, that is the reason we are going to "test" him with the laptop. He's very cluey with a normal desktop...and his iPad...so now we're trying to see if he can utilise a laptop properly. I have already downloaded a copy of Microsoft Toolkit, I extracted it to another folder and there are several sub-folders therein...what is the best method for a workaround the activation process? Or do I just chase a copy [is that easy?] of Daz's loader and use it?
In this case there's no other way than use Windows Loader for OEM activation (Windows 7 Ultimate > OEM / Retail channel only no VL) but MTK is not for Win8.x only. How about Windows 7 Enterprise? It can be KMS activated / MAK only.
