Anyone here who might know how I can enable the "activate by phone" option in Windows 7 Enterprise?

I installed it wihout a network connection, but the "activate by phone" option is still grayed out :-(

    Thank you.

Does the Enterprise edition have the activate online option? I'm guessing it doesn't, but as far as the activate by phone...I second genuine555, why do you want to? I'm also assuming it is greyed out and not checked?

What we're trying to say is it's greyed out for a reason. You really don't want to activate by phone, bad idea imho.

What you get if you run the command:
    Code:
    slmgr -dti

    Did you try this?
    1. Unplug your Computer from the internet.

    2. Right click Computer, then select properties.

3 You should see the activation status, and the option to activate.

    4. Click Activate Windows

    5. Since your unplugged it cant activate online, and should present you with other options.

    6. Select Show me other ways to activate

    7. Use the automated phone system

    8. Choose your nearest location.

    9. Next

    10. Take note of your Installation ID, and write it down, or save to a text file.

    11. Follow the steps to get your Confirmation ID ( We NEED this )

    12. Write this down, or save to the same text file as your Installation ID

13 Click Next and Windows is Activated.

open a command prompt as admin and navigate to c:\windows\system32 and type in this command

    cscript.exe "slmgr.vbs" -dlv > %userprofile%\desktop\act.txt

on your desktop you will now have a file called act.txt in that file look for installation id it will be a 54 digit number in there, you will want to split it into groups of 6, you should have 9 groups of 6. Copy and paste that number into a text file because when you call the phone number you will need it.

Next you will need to open up phone.inf in c:\windows\system32\sppui and look for your country and then call the number. The automated phone thingy will ask you to input those groups of 6 and then spit out an activation key. Take this key and type it into your text file where your install ID is you are going to need it for the next step.

Open an elevated command prompt and type in slmgr.vbs -atp then the activation ID the phone number gave you. So if it was 1234 you would type slmgr.vbs -atp 1234 then once you do that windows will activate if your activation key is correct.

Thanks.. I got it back on again!

    Why?

I just did a new install of my Windows 7 Enterprise that I (some time ago) activated with the ....-....-GXKTP key by calling the "activate by phone" option.
