I had that happen to me also when I needed to update my copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 (APE10) so I could convert/open RAW images (specifically .RAF images). I uninstalled the Creative Cloud which Adobe installed & downloaded the update from the Adobe website & it installed fine w/o the CC mess. Sadly APE10 wont open the .RAF images w/ the update. I ended installing the software that came w/ the camera to extract the RAW images, that works fine but doesn't have many features so I use APE10 for my other pp photo work after conversion of the .RAF file.
Thread update: For Adobe Acrobat there is special separate updater: Code: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe" /PRODUCT:Acrobat /VERSION:11.0 /MODE:1 (Acrobat XI in x64OS) Code: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe" /PRODUCT:Acrobat /VERSION:11.0 /MODE:1 (Acrobat XI in x32OS)
Both are the same. The only difference of Adobe CC is that the program offers to install Adobe Creative Cloud evaluation programs. But I don´t consider, and apply only updates coming for Adobe CS6. Who doesn´t like Adobe CC, it´s a nice way to return to Adobe Application Manager.
Adobe Application Manager offers CC-pack evaluations (like Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC etc.) and CC-pack free applications (like Bridge CC etc.) too...
