hp 550

    Hi, I have a HP 550 laptop which is only about a year old running Vista.
    Have noticed that the fan is running all of the time and wondered if this was normal?

    I would have thought that it would come on and then go off at different times but it stays on constantly.
    Any ideas?

    Perfectly normal.The amount of heat generated inside a laptop is considerable hence the need for the fan to be running.

    OK thanks for the answer.....just thought a bit weird as my other laptops dont seem to do it?
