    Hi Guys,

Have just received an hp 6910p laptop but the BIOS seems to be corrupt on it. When I turn it on it just powers on and off every 5-6 seconds.

I have been searching High and Low for a method to manually update the BIOS. There seems to be a method using the Phoenix BIOS Crisis recovery disk - but this requires a USB floppy drive which I do not have.

I looked into the WINCRIS 1.0.0.4 tool but cannot seem to get the laptop to boot of the USB stick. For the 6910p the method is to attach the disk and then use windows key + B to boot into Bios Recovery - This causes the caps lock light to flash, which is happening, so I know the BIOS is not beyond repair.

Does anyone have any experience with this laptop, or any generic advice? Are there updated drivers or am I missing something really simple?

Any advice would be muchly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    SJ
