    according to HP it is an 68MVD Family ROM

    I'm just saying that is the type of the BIOS... I think that is a HP proprietary bios type

    I did a search for 68MVD on these forums and it turned up nothing but this thread. Thanks anyway.

    Does anyone know anything about the first part of the SLIC and how it's encoded or if there is some editor that I can use on this BIOS?

    Did you get any further with getting SLIC 2.1 added to the BIOS?

    8510p need SLIC 2.1

    I'm after a BIOS mod from 2.0 to 2.1 for my HP8510p too!
    let me know if you have any success
    loaders dont seem to work for these HPs and some Dells
