Hi there, registered just now as i have been scouring the internet for any information relating to this and have found nothing. I contacted Hp via chat and after about an hour they said that native sata/AHCI configuration was disabled for this particular model. Why is this? Do they have a reason to do this? i don't know.. The laptop is dirt slow with a clean install of Windows 7 It has an AMD sb600/m690 or something chipset and should Not be this slow! Latest BIOS uses the "sp55556.exe" SoftPaq package Any info appreciated, if there is nothing to do, it is being donated to an Industrial shredder..
