Hi.. Newbie here...Hi all.. I have this NW8240, suddenly cooling fan stopped working (wont start), I've tried the fan in another lap, it works.. Cant use the lap as it is now, overheats rather quick and shuts down.. No clue what/where to look for any fault, all seems okey around the fan connector, thats all I can say.. Can it be a corrupt BIOS? I haven't dare to reflash it in fright of lap overheats and shuts down during flash process.. Please, what to do?...
As you said that you chekc your fan in another computer and it works totally fine. I think there is some motherboard problem or may be BIOS problem in you laptop. I suggest you to contact your authorized dealer instead of doing it on your own. This may cause you a great trouble.
Hi... Thanks for your answer... Its out of warranty, so no idea to try to get it serviced...Anyway, I did dare to flash the bios, flash went well, but it had no influence on fan malfunction.. Think I'll disassemble laptop and inspect mobo closely..
