    Just tried mod for "HP Compaq 6520s/6720s/6820s Notebook PC" above.
    The test laptop was HP6720s with Vista Ultimate .
    Current bios 68MDU Ver F 0D (Official latest bios from HP with Slic v2.)

    File downloaded as instructed in first post above was "sp41877_MOD.rar"
    Uncompressed the rar and ran "sp41877.exe" as Administrator.
    The HPQ wizard shows error message as shown on image

    What am i doing wrong

    I would like to mod my nw8240 mobile workstation bios to add SLIC table.
    I have made an Uniflash copy of my bios and RW report.
    Could anyone help to insert the SLIC table? :biggrin:

    My nx7300 doesn't boot after I installed this rompaq. It didn't show any errors during the installation. When I try to power it on, caps lock lamp flashes and that's all, the screen is black.

    So ur saying that a unsupported model has slic 2.1? (the nc6400)..

    /(#&(¤&)#&)/#&)=&#¤=#=/#=/&(=(#(=#&(=# My 6510b is gone... And in HP.com (search for 6510b) i cant find any bios updates for it... For Vista OS there..updated Aug.. damn

    Uhm the first row is a question?

    I dont understand why NC6400 now has slic 2.1, i think its way too old for that :p

    some unsuported model can be mod, this particular one was done one year ago.

    I see..well maybe i should give it a try then..but flash it hm, it works pretty fine right now.

    I've soldered out the BIOS chip and put your image *.bin directly through the special device and now it works :) Unfortunately there is no any information such as Model and Serial in the BIOS info...

    This method works correctly in my laptops :biggrin:
    HP Compaq nx6310
    HP Compaq 6510b
