HP/Compaq w/Windows 8- no SLIC table found in BIOS

    Hi all :)

    Like more than a few others, I'm sitting here with a friend who wants to downgrade his Compaq CQ58 notebook which is running the Windows 8 it was delivered with. He is strongly mad at Windows 8 and wants to downgrade to Windows 7. So I went and checked with RW everything...no SLIC table.

    Fujitsu has a free util which will (re)instate the SLIC 2.1 table...does anyone know if HP/Compaq has a similar tool?

    Check Hp website there maybe bios available for windows 7
