    no cpu or ram no post. try 1 ram at a time .
    if its i3 they are known for video (built in to cpu) issues

    yep completely agree would not touch a HP DV---- with a barge pole,but would have to say their finest hour was the 69--p range. bought sold a few them over the years never had one back for hardware faults,and Win 7 flys on them;)
