I have searched on here and found some bios files for this motherboard, but I'm not sure what they'll do. I just bought an HP p6280t with the ASUS IPIBL-LB motherboard and all I want to do is enable the RAID 5 that the ICH9R chipset supports. Right now when I go in to the Intel thing I can only choose Raid 0 and 1. I have 3x500gig HD's that show up so it's not that. I usually try to do my homework, but with the files posted I don't know what the modifications were, if any. I talked to HP and they just said no they don't support it even though it's capable of doing it. I might be wrong, but I'm guessing the BIOS is holding this back. The board came with BIOS version 5.39. And I am aware that only a fool would use on-board RAID 5, but I'm not looking for speed, just redundancy. I have off-site backups.
Sorry for raising this question again. I searched on the net and found that RAID 5 can be enabled on IPIBL-LB but did not get how exactly that can be done. Is that a modified BIOS or something else? Who can point me in a right direction? Thank you.
