Hi, my friend has a HP laptop that she bought from a PC shop, it has Windows 7 license from HP with HP serial, the license worked fine for 2 years, now suddenly asking to activate which fails. I have run SLIC tool and it said SLIC table not found with SLIC version showing up as 0.0. What's worse is she cannot call Microsoft to get a new license as the ink on the COA has rubbed away during the years.

As there anyway to mod the BIOS for HP laptop please to insert the SLIC 2.1 ? here is some info:

Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : HP G61-410SA (laptop)
    -Bios Revision : F23
    -Bios Type : Insyde
    -Bios SLIC : 2.1
    -Bios Link : http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51501-52000/sp51527.exe

I would appreciate any help with this please.

    Thanks.

That BIOS already has an HP SLIC 2.1 from the Manufacturer.
Try Flashing it and Re-Installing the HP Certificate and OEM Key and see if it re-activates Win 7.
If not then try this Dynamic Mod:
    HP_G61-410SA_F23_(sp51527.exe)_HP_SLIC_2.1_Dynamic.rar

I tried the original Bios from HP and also that you have posted, but it seems that there is no SLIC 21.

    Hi Guys,
I would like to thank you all for this thread.
I have just used the tool to repair a legit HP g61 110sa that was reporting "this copy of windows is not genuine" after it somehow lost its slic 2.1 code.

Does anyone know how the laptop loses the info stored in the eeprom?
The g61 has lost its serial number, UUID, product code.

    Regards
    Al
