HP changed their web access to Proliant support pages.
    No longer free it seems.

So going directly to Google found support page gives notice:
An active warranty or support agreement covering Proliant servers must be linked to your HPE Support Center profile to access this BIOS.

Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 (J06) Servers
    2015.11.02(B)(24 Oct 2016) cp031064.exe (2.1 MB)
    or here

Can this BIOS be modded for SLIC 2.3? Or eventually Microserver got to same point as other Proliant servers (that nothing can touch it)

Anybody ever looked at this BIOS?

It also has a "bug", where port 5 can not be selected as boot in AHCI mode of the B120i controller

I am sure that "could be corrected"

Strange, stock bios is 4 MB (excluding HP signature bits) but backup is 8 MB. Moreover no 'AMIBIOS' string is found in both of them so I doubt that it is AMI bios.

    :bye2:

Correct, Proliant BIOS are (so far) unmodable, and I expect it to stay so (due to digital signature and the fact that there is less & less need for mods - who would spend time?)

Really sorry to necro post but I have one of these and need Win Server at least temporarily. I was thinking Server 2012 r2 with SLIC 2.3. I'm open to 2016 and even essentials versions. "the fact that there is less & less need for mods" does this refer to KMS server emulation or a loader? What options are out there? SLIC mod bios just seems so clean and safe...

    Thanks

    I herewith attach a SP99000.exe renamed to SP99000.exe.7z.
Then, you can find Rompaq utilities to update Microserver Gen8.
My question is the way of extracting bios ROM image from CPQJ0612.F62.
I used CUI from freedos, "Rompaq.exe /d CPQJ0612.F62 CPQJ061.rom", however, it extracts 65536 bytes only.
Moreover, I tried ADDCC, but I cannot extract ROM image.

Does anyone know to extract BIOS?

I do not think there is an easy way to extract anything from CPQJ0612.F62

G8 are digitally signed, nothing to do with just a checksum (like it used to be in G6)
