    hi,
I recently replaced the celeron cpu in my hp nx6310 centrino duo cpu with centrino duo cpu of another hp nc6320. The computer turns on and seems to work, but does not boot. The only way to boot is to disable the setting of the bios that refers to the dual core processor. How can I fix the problem? Can I use Dual Core processor on HP nx6310?
    Thanks in advance
    Gianluigi

Here are some processors usable in nx6310 according to specs informations:

    Processors Intel Core Duo Processor T2600* (2.16-GHz, 667-MHz FSB, 2-MB L2 cache)
    Intel Core Duo Processor T2500* (2.00-GHz, 667-MHz FSB, 2-MB L2 cache)
    Intel Core Duo Processor T2400* (1.83-GHz, 667-MHz FSB, 2-MB L2 cache)
    Intel Core Duo Processor T2300* (1.66-GHz, 667-MHz FSB, 2-MB L2 cache)
    Intel Core Duo Processor T2300E* (1.66-GHz, 667-MHz FSB, 2-MB L2 cache)
    Intel Core Solo Processor T1300* (1.66-GHz, 667-MHz FSB, 2-MB L2 cache)
    Intel Celeron M Processor 430* (1.73-GHz, 533-MHz FSB, 1-MB L2 cache)
    Intel Celeron M Processor 420* (1.60-GHz, 533-MHz FSB, 1-MB L2 cache)
    Intel Celeron M Processor 410* (1.46-GHz, 533-MHz FSB, 1-MB L2 cache)
    * Intel's numbering is not a measurement of higher performance. Intel Core Duo and Core Solo
processors available with Intel 945GM Express Chipset only.
NOTE: Processor speed denotes maximum performance mode; processors will run at lower speeds in
    battery optimization mode.

I looked on Internet for nx6310 with t5500 cpu and there are some for sale ..so it should works...
Did you try to set the "Default Settings" in bios?... Is there a driver update for Cpu?...Or is the 945GM Chipset could be refresh on Intel site?...
    Give news..Good luck!
