Code: original and _SLIC .. flash original.. then delete and rename without _SLIC. flash it and should have slic 2.1 Ok I'm having little bit of trouble here not flashed like this before, I have flashed the original using WinPlash.exe but not sure what to do next, which files do I delete and which files do I rename, I dont want to end up killing it
Ok thanks for the reply urie, I have deleted the original 30CDF2E.WPH and renamed the slick one to 30CDF2E.WPH but all I get is ''The input file cannot be found A valid filename must be specific to continue'' any ideas think I had this problem earlier too when flashing with original 30CDF2E.WPH but seemed to work later Forgot to say Laptop is on mains power and Running WinPlash.exe as Admin
u can try with PH161700.EXE in USB dos its best to have flashed original first (if it does not have original newest).. then reboot to dos again and flash slic
Yes LatinMcg it has the latest Bios update but I have never done this in DOS before, how difficult is this to do in DOS and where do I start
boot usb dos that u made with HP USB DOS tool. type ph161700 if no go then try phlash16 or research older deadlink posts to see what they used.
Ok I have downloaded the HP Bootable USB 2.23 from here, I will try this out later tonight, thanks for all the help so far guys
