hey bros , i have got a HP Pavilion S3360 slimline desktop , when i switch on the pc , the fan makes too much noise and monitor loads black screen to load bios , bu before bios loading , the monitor goes to sleep. and p shutdown. so i gave a local engineer to repair it. he was like the motherboard is faulty and needs to be replaced. and hes saying that the cost toget new parts will come upto 500$ 1) so i thought of buying a moherboard which is same in size with the hp motherboard? will it work if i tatoo it? 2) or i need to buy exactly the same motherboard and tatoo it? 3) can i buy any motherboard of same size and tatoo it and it will work ? i have the tools. but i wanna know step by step method to do the work. like which motherboard to buy? then how to tatoo it??? i mean we can start the old pc with the new motherboard right and then after it boots up we can start the tatoo work ??? gimme detailed information please... just FYI, about 37 models of the HP slimline series had faulty motherboards and in many cases HP had replaced them for free. Suggest you contact HP first and see if you can get a deal from them. For 500$, you can buy a new computer!!
the motherboard crashed some days back , i had bought it a year and half ago . and even the warranty period is over. so can u answer to the quesion i asked abt replacing a motherboard and more thing , can i get a similar motherboard out in the market??
Dude..if i were in your place i'd just get a new machine. And even trade/reuse some of the old machine parts, you know hdd, ram.

i have changed my cabinet , motherboard(gigabyte) rest is my old hdd and dvd rom now when i boot windows vista , it comes up till windows vista loading screen and restarts. so i think the windows vista will work only on my old faulty motherboard which i changed.. how should i make it work?
