I have a HP Pro 3500 Midi Tower that has a bricked bios after trying to upgrade the bios. System powers up and starts beeping I allready extracted the rompaq and files inside are CU3_814.ROM FLASH.BAT safuwin.exe sp60662.cva How to recover the systems uefi AMI bios? Thanks in advance I allready tried to rename CU3_814.ROM to HPBIOS.ROM and put in on blank usb stick and booting with CTRL+HOME pressed but this does not start recovery.
Forgot to mention this. When i power up the pc it's shows a normal white/blue power led. After some seconds it beeps en power led blink orange this occurs 8 times after you see the usb stick accessed but looks like it doesn't find what it's looking after. The power led from then on is solid white/blue. No screen when all this is happening
try Insyde EFI methods.. its not RSA signed. likely needs the USB EFI environment made with sp61282.exe and bios likely goes in folder Hewlett-Packard\Bios\Current (and Previous folder u have to make in usb.. or look in your hard disk HP Tools parititon) might have to unplug hdd so usb EFI takes over. possible name might be 2ABF.ROM try older 8.12 if 8.14 dont recover ? (from phoenix mod tool) EFI / Insyde BIOS Finished Extracting LZMA and Tiano module compression methods used
I have an other running system with same configuration delivered today. When I open the bios at the bottom it says. AMI v2.15.1227 Currunt bios of the new machine is CU3_812.ROM
running phoenix file gives the following: EFI / Insyde BIOS Finished Extracting LZMA and Tiano module compression methods used Pubkey found in 996AA1E0-1E8C-4F36-B519-A170A206FC14_0_407.ROM at 0 Marker found in 69009842-63F2-43DB-964B-EFAD1C39EC85_0_405.ROM at 0 'SLIC' string found in 0A602C5B-05A0-40C4-9181-EDCD891D0001_1_531.ROM at 7C84 'SLIC' string found in 16D0A23E-C09C-407D-A14A-AD058FDD0CA1_1_226.ROM at 6BEC 'SLIC' string found in 16D0A23E-C09C-407D-A14A-AD058FDD0CA1_1_226.ROM at 80C4 'SLIC' string found in 27E569D5-0AFC-4D8F-8C90-783AC4A318AB_0_213.ROM at 14 'SLIC' string found in 3FD1D3A2-99F7-420B-BC69-8BB1D492A332_0_777.ROM at 4B 'SLIC' string found in 4C494E55-5849-5342-4554-544552212121_1_402.ROM at 759 'SLIC' string found in 8C783970-F02A-4A4D-AF09-8797A51EEC8D_1_387.ROM at 10AC 'SLIC' string found in 984215C0-B1BC-11DF-94E2-0800200C9A66_0_565.ROM at 14 'SLIC' string found in 9F3A0016-AE55-4288-829D-D22FD344C347_1_62.ROM at 9E4 'SLIC' string found in B1DA0ADF-4F77-4070-A88E-BFFE1C60529A_0_473.ROM at 54BC4 'SLIC' string found in B7D19491-E55A-470D-8508-85A5DFA41974_1_98.ROM at 4185 'SLIC' string found in B7D19491-E55A-470D-8508-85A5DFA41974_1_98.ROM at 444B 'SLIC' string found in E4ECD0B2-E277-4F2B-BECB-E4D75C9A812E_1_186.ROM at 3C34 OEM/Table IDs identified are: 1. no socket looks like it's soldered to the mainboard. Then I'm out of luck and I will need to contact HP for warranty
