Do you know guys is there any possibility to brute force or reset password on modern HP notebooks? I have found one hp-bios-password-cracker. But I have googled recently and have found that it can be possible to get BIOS password hash, while pushing F2 with F12 buttons before entering the wrong password for the last 3rd attempt. Then we can use brute force to find the right hash and password itself. However I have been pushing F2, F12 and F2+F12, before and after entering password - no luck. Just getting "bios locked" message and no hash is shown at all and I have to poweroff the notebook. I guess CMOS clearing will not help as bios password in modern books is storing in some else chip (TPM)?? Could someone enlighten me in this question? Thanks in advance.

HP/Compaq laptops only show the hash if the F2 or F12 key has been pressed prior to entering an invalid password for the last time.

Nope. I have been pushing F2 and F12 (but not together) prior to the last 4th attempt - nothing happened. After 3rd attempt I am getting on-screen keyboard with mouse pointer and I can enter password by mouse and on-screen keyboard or by physical keyboard for the 4th time, after that I am getting computer locked message and no hash seen. :( I guess HP have changed the behavior to see the hash in recent notebooks. If it is possible at all.
