Hi guys! I just bought a new ML110 G6 Hp server, with no Operation system I would like to install Windows Server 2008 standard edition. Can I install a normal iso, and then activate it with SLP oem (HP) key and certificate? I think to have a Slic 2.1, this server is very new. I will check now. Then I have also to activate CAL and TS licenses? Or only TS licenses? Because I need TS services. If you have any suggesions, please tell me, I'm not very expert with these trips. Thanks a lot for all your time Carlo
Thanks a lot Russtavo for your reply. Last weekend I read about WindSLIC too. So yesterday I ordered an Intel pro1000/gt and a pro1000/mt. I wii try with these cards. I hope to success. I will let you to know. Thanks a lot Carlo
I have the same problem. On my Hp ProLiant DL320 G5p exist ACPI table named FFFF (size 374 bytes). No one DMI tool work on my server. Can anybody help me?
@ Sebus if I want to use WHS v1 on the Microserver do we need to modify the slic? I have WHS VLK currently installed but I need to reinstall as I need to slipstream some ACHI drivers into it. I've run the oembios tool and have got the following: Windows XP OEMBIOS Test v1.1/269/106 (C) 2007-2010 severach @ msfn forums F:Compaq OEMBIOS.CAT CRC=A5E32571 F:Hitachi OEMBIOS.CAT CRC=BE5CE5BD F:HP & Compaq OEMBIOS.CAT CRC=CD4E1902 These Royalty OEM install CD's should preactivate (SLP) on your system. Lines starting with E: are not reliably detected when running under Windows Press Enter!
I successfully have been able to both download and upload my modded BIOS in my HP Proliant ML110 G6 by using flashrom in ubuntu.
