I believe that's what they're best at anyway. This HP PC that I'm on now, had a ton of useless crapware from the factory. Including "HP Support Assistant", which has not updated the first driver for me, although it did run once a week, before I set it to manual updating.

HP once had damn good computers, but now all they make for consumers is junk. If one wants to spend $1,500 or more, perhaps one may get a decent one, but I'd never throw that kind of cash towards HP. I do feel that they'll continue to expand their printer line, that's the best physical product that they can deliver to the everyday customer. As a plus, most of their printers works quite well with many versions of Linux. But I highly doubt that HP wrote the Linux install drivers.

    Their overall customer service sucks.

Indeed. My LaserJet 1000 is too old to have crapware included :D

Driver comes as a self-extracting archive and still works under x86 7 SP1 (although it's included in HP's 'non-supported' list of drivers for 7)
