A genuine english Hewlett-Packad 7 Home Premium dvd (upgrade), thats what it is With hp's all apps etc. A oemslp key is easy to find but i agree they couldve had it inserted anyway.
lol....Am not talking about SLP key. These upgrade dvds need the Upgrade key which is like a retail key and comes printed on the package. They cant be activated with OEM SLP keys.
No, it doesnt. Upgrade dvds are retail licensed, you need to enter the key on the package. But, definitely one can use the dvd, then manually install the cert and key.
I check the key with CHKPIDS_Win7 and it said the Key was no good You can activated a retail as a oem I have Windows 7 Ultimate Signature Edition retail activated as a HP OEM
could do with an alternative mirrors or torrent, sendspace is brutal, it only lets you download 1gb a day so t will take a few days to get this next time it might be a good idea to use a service like Direct-Filehost.net it uploads your file to several free hosting providers, 16 of them. You just need to upload your file once, it will be automatically uploaded to several free file hosts like RapidShare, MegaUpload, sendspace. After the file is uploaded, you get the link which contains all the download links.
I'm fairly sure it Upgrades Vista without asking for a key - but who wants to do that ??? At least I think that's the way it worked on my partner's HP laptop - I can't remember for sure and I clean installed after making the backup DVDs. The Upgrade disk will upgrade a qualifying HP BIOS to 2.1 SLIC and prepare the system for upgrade - at the end the system is like a native HP OEM 7 machine. But this is little use to anyone else - if your computer qualified for the upgrade you could get them so you don't need a download - if your computer doesn't qualify the upgrade disk doesn't work !! Trust me - I tried it.
This software does not work on HP Desk Top Computers Its Only For HP and Compaq Laptop Computers it is useless for those who have HP Or Compaq Desk Top Computers.
Not sure wether all laptops will have a bios upgrade, it says that only 19 bios slic's are on the upgrade dvd.. Edit: can someone that has both or one of the iso's upload them to other places ? Sendspace is frikkin slow.
