    Hi am trying to mod my bios but when i use NbDmiFit-1.19/wndmifit.
    I gott this error the MPM mode is locked, escalate to 3LS to get SMC blob to unlock MPM
    I cant find any guide to what these words meen, can anyone help me out on how to unlock the mdm?

    Laptop HP ProBook 4740s. After starting NbDmiFit-1.19 as under DOS so under windows I got same message as Krush08:

    Please boot to windows and use wndmifit.exe to program DMI information
    If the MPM mode is locked, escalate to 3LS to get SMC blob to unlock MPM
    ************************************************** ******
    *** Please use EFI tool Brand12 to commit AMT and AT ***
    ************************************************** ******

    What does this mean? How can I contact the author of this tool?

    I would also like to know what this means, and how to escalate to 3LS to get SMC blob to unlock MPM in NBDMIFIT 1.19???

    3LS means 3rd Level Support (you need to be a hp professional or partner). a new mobo comes with a unlocked MPM so you'll be able to reprogramm it - i think hp has another tool to unlock the mpm mode on a non-repaired workstation's mobo (but this makes no sense - why change a serial number on a working device ) - i think it's just a preventive measure to avoid re-brand stolen devices (or devices without warranty) - as you can see - nbdmifit is spreaded about the whole web.
