I bought a used laptop thats locked

    Hi I have a dell d830 and its asking me for an adminstrator password the code is 4mv983j_595b kan anyone help me or know the asministrator code

    when you refer to administrator password are you talking about Windows administrator or the from BIOS?

    I got passed that now I need a hardware drive password

    I would reformat the harddrive and reinstall the OS; this will wipe it clean and you will not have to worry about passwords

    it will also get rid of any spyware or viruses on it

    I needed a laptop for reading emails and using word at uni and thought getting a refurbished laptop would be my cheapest option. Finally bought a refurbished laptop from "ElectroComputerWarehouse" and the product id is "dell_latitude_d610_1.86_60GB".
