I upgraded my Windows 8.1 Pro to 10 by Wzort iso, then I did rest installation, I noticed when I want to open File explorer it took a while longer than in Windows 8, and my broadband is slow and I don't got it all, I used my other Windows 8 and I found the broadband fine !!
I installed all the updates so no program is using the connection I guess !!
    Is it just me ?

It's probably your network drivers. My speed is exactly the same in Win10.

Weirdly when I clean installed 10 on my main PC, I also lost about 50% of my bandwidth

Set back up my static IP, switched a few settings around in advanced network settings for my adapter and it went back to normal

Doing that resets the network adapter though (Disable/enable) possible just that would have fixed it

for ppl with limited bandwidth settings - update and security- windows update- advanced - choose how updates are delivered - turn off updated from one more place
