I have a modded bios. now what?

    I already have an SLIC 2.1 bios. What are the next steps for me to have Windows 7 activated?

    by the way, it was modded with a dell slic.

    So is the 22TKD key valid for any slic and cert?

    What to do with DELL.BIN file, which I recieved together with SLIC 2.1 BIOS

    does this stay activate then can you get windows updates or will this be blacklisted

    M$ have already announced they will blacklist this key. This does not de-activate but will stop Windows Update. They will also release a Windows Genuine Advantage update - :eek:- which will do something nasty to your OS like make it reboot or show Non Genuine messages.

    The simple answer is turn off all updates until OEM machines start shipping in a few months. When keys which have been shipped with OEM machines start becoming available it is trivial to change the key to the new one without fear of blacklisting.
