I have HP notebook but my OEMID=DELL

    I got HP notebook with preinstalled Vista Premium OS.
    I decided to install W7 instead of Vista.

    Here is my SLIC descriptions:

    My question is: Why my OEMID=DELL and not HP?

    Where did you get the Windows 7 installation media? It may have been a modified "pre-activated" one that installs a loader which is set to using a Dell SLIC.

    Thats mostlikely the case yep..

    I suggest theatist get his/her hands on a genuine copy and use searchengines script:)

    Yes, you right. I uninstalled the loader.
