My computer is really s**t and I can't even play a single 3d game like mw2 or halo 1 or 2 on it lags really badly.
It has high specs but yet it still lags like it has like 10 frames per second(FPS).
    Here are the specs:
    Operating System:Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
graphics card:nvidia geforce 8200m g(graphics card ram is not know yet)
ram is 3.00 gb but it says 2.75 gb usable
    proccessor is amd x64

The whole laptop really sucks I have a 64-bit proccessor but yet I can install both 32-bit and 64-bit OS's.
I thought my laptop was made for gaming.
It really lags when I try and play mw2.
I watched several videos about netbooks playing mw2 with low graphic textures with no fps lag at all!
Even when I put my laptop's graphic settings on super low and no shadows at all it still has bad fps lag!
I really hate it so much.

(BTW I have 6 computers in my house so I might try and download mw2 on one of them)

IMHO, there are no GOOD gaming laptops. Laptops are very tightly packed and powerful gpu's can frequently cause overheat or burn out. If you're a serious gamer buy a desktop. GEForce 8200m is a decent card but barely adequate for games that too with low details. Also you have just 3 gigs ram.

I noticed that even if a laptop has the same specs than a desktop pc, the desktop pc will still run the game better....very strange.

the best gaming laptop is supposed to be alienware, but if you google it you will see that it sucks. many problems.....overheat and explosions XD

Over the last few years my interest in gaming has waned significantly. But having had several dedicated to gaming over the years, it didn't take long to realize if I wanted a stable high end machine, I had to build it myself.

Desktops cool better because of all that space. You can put additional fans or have a customized cooling solution. Because of that you can have powerful cpu's and gpu's. You can swap components like gfx/sound cards per convenience or with time. You can choose accessories like the mouse and keyboard to suit gaming needs.

You should have bought an ASUS gamer laptop. I have the G51Jx which I got last fall. I have no problems with any gaming or heat or freezing or BSOD.
It is very well known that ASUS leads the way in its gaming laptops. The G53 series looks nice as well. Sorry to hear about your dud.

Yea I heard that alienware makes the best gaming laptops and desktops but they're way too expensive lol.

Go google up the video card before you buy. 8200m is really weak and you really shouldn't expect MW2 from it even at lowest settings. You don't need to buy an overpriced alienware to game...u just have to check the video card.
    Try notebookcheck.net for comparison

Also note that laptop graphics card models are totally different cards from the Desktop model despite only having an M behind. Basically they're much weaker and based on totally different architecture though they are given the same name as the desktop card.
