I just made a VHD of Windows 10 and it is running fine but needs Activation.

I spent about an hour on the phone with Microsoft - no help

This Win 10 was updated from Windows 7 but I do not have the key for Windows 7 anymore.

    HELP!!

I used disk2vhd to make a VHD from my Windows that was activated.

    What VHD?

If it's native you don t need to do anything. If instead you're running it in a VM that machine is a different machine, you will need a new entitlement.

How do I get a new entitlement? I only have one computer and I am running this VM on it.

That Visualized Win10 client will require it's own license. The license you have on the hypervisor on will not apply to the virtualized OS.

You can obtain a new license the same way might've obtained you current hypervisor license, If you obtain that current license by purchasing hardware, then you can also obtain one via retail options.

Faster way to activate, just use any KMS emulator (see the related section on this forum).

But you can get a real entitlement installing w7, activating it with daz loader, and upgrading it to w10
