Cooking Pasta Carbonara right now... Home made... cheese sauce, mushrooms, ham, bacon, like to stick it in the oven for a bit when it's all mixed and ready
um-mm food cooking homemade Shepard's pie with mustard mash (Maris pipers, cream, butter ,2 egg yolks, pinch mustard ,salt pepper.) doesn't get better than that,
i dont love cooking, but i know how to cook, partly because i have to clean up my own mess (thats a lot of one pan fry ups ) and partly because i only cook when im hungry, and i really dont want to be making something that takes hours to prepare and cook when i want food NOW
yes, i like cooking.. can do pretty much anything.. but. you spend 20 minutes getting the ingredients. you spend 20 minututes preparing them. you spend thirty minutes cooking the meal. you spend 15 minutes eating it. you spend one hour cleaning up the mess you made in the kitchen, and doing the dishes.. so nowadays, since i live alone, i tend to limit myself to simple things.like you heat olive oil in a pan. you drop a fresh piece of cod into it. it says pssst, you turn it around. it says pssst again. you take it out and put it between 2 fresh white sandwiches. you eat it. not cooking perhaps, but i like it...
I really enjoy cooking myself, nothing better to me than having full control on how you want to have your food seasoned. I am not pickie but my food needs to have flavor
There's nothing more gratifying than having a dinner guest ask for seconds. Without a doubt one of the greatest joys of cooking.
Cooking is more fun than eating, you can spend more time cooking than eating, eating is just the final part of preparing a meal.
