I Need VMware 6.5.3 185404 Bios For Acer XP & Acer Window 7

    anyone have a Bios For VMware 6.5.3 185404 that will activate Acer XP & Acer Windows 7?

    They usually only seem to do hp bios rom for vmware..

    I found the one with Dell SLIC for older VMWare version.

    Is there any particular reason why it has to be Acer? You can change the vendor after you have installed Windows with relative ease.

    For example, you can easily change the XP oembios files to match an HP bios etc. (or actually mod the VMWare BIOS yourself - it isn't too hard). For Windows 7, I would just use an HP OEM and put in the appropriate key and xrm-ms.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

    OK, I'll manage to do it by myself when I'll find a tutorial which is not password protected !

    I need ASUS in order to be able to clone an OEM activated partition from my ASUS notebook to a virtual machine. Don't tell it is not possible, I did it witn Vista.

    And what is the problem to install different certificate?
    That is the ONLY change you would need to do using ie Dell SLIC 2.1 VM BIOS
