I really hate this Update Advance Setting
Then leave it disabled and you should be all good
i was hoping it be off by "DEFAULT".
Honestly with this $~$ windows, M$oft has definitely taken the wrong turn.
Im sure there's a way to make that happen.
Like I'm thinkin' of this quickly but...
You could make a batch file that points, let's say to a registry key that disables it. Then you slipstream it into your ISO and then it's turned off by DEFAULT
Now I don't know the registry key, but it's obviously there somewhere
Can I ask, why?
It works like a web-seeded torrent.
If MS's servers are busy, it will start to fill in the data through other people via P2P.
It's impossible to fake the data, so there's no risk of tampering.
download is okay, upload is not okay.
the problem is i am not willing to join Microsoft-forced p2p update.
The future of OS is definitely deduplication (on Microsoft Server coz they got lots of different languages ESD ) and Cloud , definitely not p2p
Tell MS, not us .
That's not how it works. It only uploads while you're downloading the file.
It doesn't force you to upload the whole time your system is running.
i think your view is only an assumption.
maybe its really upload the whole time your system is idling....
I've seen no evidence to support that theory. I monitor my bandwidth pretty closely.
Thanks for clarifying murphy
