I request an advice regarding BIOS...

    Hi guys,

    If I'd like to buy a new laptop, which bioses are to avoid considering that they can't really be modded? Is there any list or something? Or a link to guide me?

    Difficult -> HP, Lenovo
    Moderate -> Dell, Toshiba
    Best -> Asus, MSI, Clevo, Gigabyte

    Thanks, Tito. Intel motherboards are kinda of 'troubles'', isn't it?

    Are you talking about Intel desktop mobos or generic Intel made laptop mobos?? Intel bioses are digitally signed; only SLIC can be inserted via leaked Intel tools.

    I'm talking about generic Intel made laptop mobos. The desktop ones wouldn't be so much troubles, I suppose...

    AFAIK, they are old & most of the generic laptop mobos based on Intel chipsets are manufactured by ODMs like Compal, Wistron etc.
