I remember back in the day that I could use vMac to run a Mac OS in DOS, and set it to start automatically with DOS in the autoexec.bat file, effectivly giving me a "free" hackintosh if I wanted to use MacOS instead of MS Windows. Is there a way to install OSX 10.6 to a standard ix86 machine without having any issues? I honestly wouldn't care if I had to do an actual installation. I would like to be able to dual boot in between Windows 8, and OSX. Is this even possible to do?

Just a quick reminder. OS X does not like AMD processors. From the research I've done, Socket 1155 Gigabyte boards are compatible out of the box. Best of luck to you.
The hackintosh team they have some kind of hardware patches for AMD bassed systems so i hope if you use them maybe your system will not crash due to hardware incompatibility and you will succeeded if you are luck
Google 10.6 HCL Hackintosh, that will start you in the right direction. It really all depends on your hardware, its a shame Apple doesnt use the ROM anymore.... lol I remember the "Classic" days!! Hell I think apple would do better porting classic to the iphone instead. They have the "ARM" expertise....
