I have an Eee PC 1015PD with a gig memory ram inside (mod. Asint ddr3 1 gb-1333 ssy3128m8-edjed) ... since it is possible to buy the 2 gig ram I purchased a bank of ram Kingston mod. kvr13s9s6 / 2 with the same characteristics as the original ... the problem is that it is not registered and the netbook does not even start ... I would like to know why and if a solution is possible ... thanks

Must work, cannot see no reason why not.
Try again, make sure it is correctly in the slot.
If there is two slots, try another one.

there is only one slot and it is correctly inserted ... I sent an email to the ASUS ... they replied saying that the memory brand is not compatible ... I was wondering if it was possible to get around the problem by applying a modified bios

Find out which brand is compatible, return what you bought, and buy correct RAM.

No person with a normal brain can't think of such a thing that Kingston should be forbidden.

Then you should ask from ASUS which one is suitable as replacement. Ie, I mean the companies.
I looked, the same company's 2GB version is available, but there may really be still all sorts of limitations added.
I also saw in one place that someone recommended Crucial, but there were no more comments.
