sorry if I didn't make this clean in the first post. the system will not turn on, it will not post, nothing will boot, no hard drive, no cd, no usb bootable disk. there is no bios to issue instructions to the hardware to turn stuff on. what i am trying to do is a blind INSYDE BIOS flash recovery. currently the system is in such a state this is the only option.
Hi folks, I bricked my dv7-2273cl yesterday, prolly shouldn't have, I was playing around and knew the system wasn't stable. Anyways started flashing and froze, bricked it. So I put the files for mine on a USB stick, renaming each of them, every possible combination of the name from 4 letters to the full file name, both with BIN and FD extensions and capital letters, removed battery and power adapter, pressed <Win key> + <B> inserted power cable, pressed power button. When the power lights came on I released the keys. It appeared to read the usb stick , at some point the laptop shut itself back down (seemed like about 2 min). I started it up, all good! Since the 30F4 bios seems to have 2 versions perhaps you can try doing this twice, once using the first, then using the second version?
I tried to write down 2 files on usb-stick, but I have not waited, while first time will be restored BIOS (has passed more than 10 minutes)
