Hi Guys, I have a Thinkpad 1802 with a wireless card that failed. I installed a new unit and now have the 1802 error. I have tried to download the SLIC Bios from this site but get an error when trying to install Platform Signature not found when using WinPlash64 (I am using Windows 7 x64) and an issue about administrator rights when using WimPhlash 32. Current Bios level is 2.27 Help please.
Downgrade your bios to 2.26: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/7fuj26uc.iso Burn a CD, boot with it and flash the bios Then update with the modded one 2.27: http://www.sendspace.com/file/avfr2q Unrar the archive, Burn a CD with 7fuj27uc_no_whitelist.iso, boot with it and flash the modded one. 1802 error Hi Yen, though I'm not Mark21287 I can give you a positive response. I've found today your answer and I tried it immediately and it works fine. I downgraded to bios version 2.26 and installed your modified version 2.27, installed my new Atheros-card AR5008. The driver was installed automatically by Win7 so I only needed my AES-password. I can redo the modifications (no 1802) and upload the mod BIOS. I don't store modded BIOSes on local disks. Here we go 2.27 remod no whitelist: Unrar the archive 7fuj27uc_no_whitelist.rar and burn the 7fuj27uc.iso (this time I have kept its original name, but it's modded) onto CD. Do not unpack the ISO. Use the instructions from above that had worked already to flash. (downgrade first to original 2.26 if you are running 2.27 already.) http://www.sendspace.com/file/cy597r
Hi Yen, thanks a lot for your great work! Everything worked out as you told me. Perhaps you can help with the problem I have now with my new network card: I changed the Intel 3945ABG to an Intel 6230N. Wireless is working fine, but the included bluetooth option isn't working at all. I can activate or deactivate the bluetooth device in the bios seetings, but windows does not recognize there is such an adapter. I did install the latest BT driver for Windows XP. My configuration is: Z61m 9453 A-11, so it came without bluetooth. Windows XP SP3. Best regards, bonnberliner Alright - I figured it out on my own. Thanks again, Yen!
