Ideas to make Microsoft Office Portable?

    Hello. I'm looking for a way to make microsoft office portable, capable of running from it's own folder launched from anywhere (network share, usb etc.) I know I can do it via ThinApp and Spoon Studio but I'm looking for a more native way, without using a 3rd party app.
    From what I know, based on my own testing is that copying the entire installed suite from Program Files does not work on another computer.

    Since office 2010, i never saw any other portable version (2013/2016)

    There were, but one would need to include KMS activator in such virtualized package.
    There is/was such discussion in Virtualization section

    But I don't get: if I do actually make it in ThinApp, why would you need a KMS? I mean all traces are removed when closing the program. Wouldn't it run always at 90 days grace period?
