MS will release IE10 Final today, cause there will be a Platform Update (KB2670838) released later by MS that is needed to be installed before you install IE10. KB2670838 also includes Directx 11.1 as well as other improvements that have been backported from Win8.
This is great news for the business side of things, plenty of my friends are forced to use IE in the work environment, but personally,i can't get away from Chrome
In my view, everyone should be allowed to use any web browser they are comfortable with, i even sometimes test the latest nightly builds of Firefox.
@steven4554. I opened IE10-Windows6.1-x64-en-us.exe in BinText and noticed there are actually six prerequisites for installing IE10. Code: KB2533623 KB2639308 KB2670838 KB2729094 KB2731771 KB2786081 I have posted all of the links on PasteBin since I don't have enough posts here. Link: pastebin DOT com / rjhWZNkz
Me too, I need those 6 hotfixes (IE8 => IE10) Even Superseded if I did not installed, IE10 does not installed With IE10.exe, I not tested with the .cab
I have integrated I.E 10 into both my X86 and X64 Install.wim's. Everything went according to plan ....However on installing the 64Bit version I cannot for the life of me figure how start IE 10 in 64Bit mode? It isn't in Internet Options/Security. Any ideas?
I just used en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x86_dvd_u_677460 and the 4 updates and the cab that's on front page and it all seam to have worked. I used Windows Download Integrator 3.3 the only problem is that the Welcome tab keep reopening every time. Anyone have a different way to Integrate to not see that welcome tab every time?
You need to turn on 'Enhanced Protected Mode' and then reboot. blogs.msdn.com/b/ieinternals/archive/2012/03/23/understanding-ie10-enhanced-protected-mode-network-security-addons-cookies-metro-desktop.aspx
New Pre-reqs for the final release of win7 IE10 are: KB2670838, KB2726535, and KB2729094 Get those on MS download center then run an extraction on the ie10 exe. Example: Either make a shortcut to the IE10 exe and add the /x: argument or type the whole thing in command prompt: IE10-Windows6.1-x64-en-us /x:c:\ie10-x64 Then copy IE-Win7.cab,IE-Hyphenation-NEU.MSU, and IE-Spelling-NEU.MSU to an IE10 post-KB folder. You want to integrate the pre-reqs and any other msu files you integrate first, then run a second pass for the three IE10 files. Example for ultimate integration: Code: dism /mount-wim /wimfile:c:\win7\sources\install.wim /index:5 /mountdir:c:\mnt dism /image:c:\mnt /add-package /packagepath:c:\prereqs dism /image:c:\mnt /add-package /packagepath:c:\ie10 dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:c:\mnt /commit That code assumes that you have those files in the directories listed, careful not to alter syntax when you change the directories. I'm doing a full integration soon. I'll re-post here if something is wrong with the process or you need an updated file that isn't on MS download center yet. *edit: changed the pre-reqs to reflect that kb2726535 replaces the need for 2533623 and kb2731771. I have confirmed by personally replacing, integrating, and running it thru vmware
You will need to re-edit your post, as i've already stated above, both KB2533623 and KB2731771 have been superseded by KB2726535
