    Just take ownership of that folder by going into properties / security / advanced / then change the current owner to your current username

    PLEASE! ALWAYS HAVE/MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR MOST IMPORTANT DATA.

    It's not so difficult, it just needs some time, and it can be fully automated.
    And if possible have 2x backups (one ONSITE and one OFFSITE) just in case.
