    Hello,

I have a genuine product key to the system builders version of Windows 7 32bit Home premium. What image should I download to use it with?

Apologies if the answer is found in the stickys. Ive been trying to locate the answer but not been sucessfull.

additional info: I do not have access to the install-disc(s) which the product key came with

    Thanks in advance

See sticky for a link to download an iso image of windows 7, then just update the ei.cfg file to OEM, see below

only difference, ei.cfg, all the rest 100% identical (verified hashes)

    ei.cfg retail:

    [EditionID]
    Ultimate
    [Channel]
    RETAIL
    [VL]
    0

    ei.cfg oem:

    [EditionID]
    Ultimate
    [Channel]
    OEM
    [VL]
    0

This modification only seems to force setup to show the OEM eula

    As far as I know there are two different types of OEM types;

    OEM: OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)

    and

    System Builder OEM license

So I can use a disc for the first category to the second?

    Cheers

I do believe so the difference being the licence only, the System builder license can only be installed on 1 single machine as the OEM version is a multi licence key used for deployment. hope that helps...

@ daniel.soderstrom, just delete ei.cfg then you will have choice of version to install and obviously select Home Premium. Job done :)
