Immersive Control Panel Broken? After Update?

    Hi All,
    This is the second time this has happened on my laptop's installation of Windows 8 DP. Basically, all my metro apps work (except for Notespace), and my Immersive Control Panel does not work, meanwhile all updates are installed on my desktop PC, and the Immersive Control panel works fine. Any ideas on what's going on?

    Metro Control Panel Fixed, but Apps not working now?

    Hi all,
    fixed the issue with the Immersive Control Panel by using sfc.exe /scannow.
    Now though, I have issues with my Apps. No metro Apps are opening/working properly. I click on an app, and the splash screen shows, but nothing comes up. Any ideas?

    same problem here....i guess windows update damaged some files...nd since it still a preview...there are many bugs....

    If you disabled UAC with a Regtweak (EnableLUA set to 0) then Metro apps crash.

    For me is works fine...have all the updates installed

    Did you use any utilities? Or any special methods for installation?

    Haha canouna you know with 2-3 builds per week, VHD booting is enough :D

    All fixed after a reformat!

    Hey guys,
    All my immersive apps now work, as I have done a clean install. Last time, I did a refresh, and that fixed my problem temporarily, but seems like a clean install may have worked. I have installed all the updates, except for the Windows Defender update, which may be causing the problem. Also thought that MSE (Microsoft security essentials) may have been causing the problem, but it hasn't effected anything (so far). I have WDP installed on my laptop and desktop, and the only other thing I could think of is that when windows syncs my app settings from my desktop PC, somewhere along the line, some files have gotten corrupt or maybe because the screen resolution is different, the apps stuff up?

    lol idk, sorry for the long essay

    same here, two computers, all updates installed, all metro apps working fine....tried just now.....

    Canouna i have your same build? :roflmao:
