Increasing upload speed

    A friend of mine gets crappy upload / download speeds. For uploads she gets 1MB. Is there a way of increasing that to about 3 or 4 MB without spending any money. Maybe by changing some settings? If so, what does she need to do? Plz let me know.

    It's all about the connection and it's speeds the ISP provides and what she paid for! That said, first check what Internet plan she's using!

    You could increase the speed slightly by removing a restriction setting in gpedit, but like pisthai said, if you want it to jump, money matters. :D

    I think we live now in a world where nobody could be bothered to read the 8th comment (without adds) of a somewhat 5 year old thread of a setting outdated 10 years earlier of this 5 year old thread.

    Let's buy her only a better WLAN cable! :biggrin:
