    SLP 1.0: XP (text string)
    SLP 2.0: Vista (SLIC table)
    SLP 2.1: Vista & 7 (SLIC table)

Adding SLP 2.1 by itself does nothing for XP. You still need to add SLP 1.0 to have that ability as well.

You do not have to have SLP 1.0 in order to add SLIC 2.0 or 2.1.

But if you want to run an activated XP, VISTA & Win 7 then you need SLP 1.0 and SLIC 2.1 both added to your bios.

If you don't want to run XP then there is no point in adding SLP 1.0
