KMS and permanent activation are mutually exclusive. Even KMS38 has a limit, albeit a very large one.

You never know these days so the screenshot it's no proof even if it's his system so he needs to give more info for that just my 2 cents

Hi, I'm wondering that is there any way to update the built-in windows setup that comes preinstalled with laptops? For instance, the laptop I have came with Windows 10 1607 or 1703 and now I have 1809. If things go wrong and i want to reinstall windows by resetting windows, it installs 1607 then I need to update it with WU etc. I want to update the preinstalled setup so whenever I need a reset, it installs the latest build.

If you think this is not related to this topic or even MDL, let me make it related. How can I install/place the latest Windows ISO to the laptop partition that I can use reset function as if it came preinstalled with the laptop I have. :)

    Thanks.

ResetPC and Fresh Start offer the reinstall off the most current installed windows.

Are you referring to Recovery > Reset this PC? If so, last time I tried it with a laptop that came with Win 8 preinstalled and upgraded to Win 10, it reset to Win 8 and I had to upgrade to Win 10 again. If MS has changed things with Win 10 and upgrading the OS also updates recovery files and so on, then the first part of my message is answered. However, if you referred 3rd party tools, I couldn't find anything related to them with a Google search.

    Thanks.

I never refer to third party tools;)

Iirc, when win 10 got released and when you upgraded to 10, from 8.1, there was a message about the ability to use the 8.1 recovery was not possible anymore.
