Hi, thank you for your hint! But.... How do you mean that? Is the image not bootable (e.g. booting computer from DVD-drive)? Is it only possible to run Win7 setup from a running OS? Thanks for your help!
The original image is bootable, but this info is for users who is modify the original iso and like to have Business,HomeBasic...............boot DVD version. If you like to know how you can do that just read the forum, the info is already there. i'am also modify the first post and I hope is more understanding now.
Very nice guide. Also if you had a program like MagicISO, you could just open the archive and delete the file. Then just save, and your done.
Hi Rudi1 Thanks for sharing. Your method is same as make Windows Vista Bootable DVD. I would like to add more... We can install windows7 from USB pendrive. But your Mobo have to support to fist boot from usb storage too. Many times I did it.. Vista x86 w/sp1 Vista x64 w/sp1 And surely windows 7 build 6956,7000
so.........with out this mod we can only install the ultimate?? im going to install the Microsoft.Windows.7.Beta.1.Build.7000.x86.DVD.REPACK-WinBeta version
hmm.. does anyone know if VLite works with 7? i want to make a 700Mb version like i did with vista so it would fit on a regular cd..
Depends,I'am try to modify the business version and it's worked, but you must at first delete the ei.cfg in the sources folder(WIN7 DVD) I'am made one slimed version and it work, only have someproblems with missing dll files, but I'am download it from net and install it,now it's fine. Looks like that Windows7 is still Vista
